Bertucci History

Bertucci Contracting Corporation traces its history to the turn of the last century when the present owner’s great-great grandfather began hauling sand from pits along the Mississippi River in New Orleans. By the end of WW II, the business had evolved from mule drawn wagons to diesel powered equipment. In the late 1950’s, Bertucci began concentrating on building rock structures along the inland waterways and the gulf coast. Five generations have passed and the business ideals and practices along with the expertise and skills that were developed through the years have positioned Bertucci as the local market leader in coastal restoration work across the Gulf Coast.

In 1999, the owner of Bertucci acquired an established ship cleaning and environmental response company founded in 1986. With the enactment of OPA 90, this company had expanded its services to include environmental response and remediation.

In order to package the services offered by both companies, this company was renamed Bertucci Industrial Services L.L.C. in 2001. Bertucci Industrial Services targets ship and barge cleaning as well as mitigation and remediation of land and water sites utilizing the experience and expertise of both Bertucci companies. Bertucci Industrial Services also offers services such as site clean up, salvage, spill response, and site assessment.
